getting Started
pwMapApp helps you as you Explore a Map.
In order to keep a history of your exploration, first you Register as an Explorer...
====
Explorer Registration:
The key requirement is that you select your own Explorer Name.
The first time you run the app you will be asked to select your explorerName.
There are some restrictions on Explorer Names. These ones are important:
- You select a name that suits *you*
- the app will make sure that no-one else has already Registered that name
- Within the app -- other Explorers will see your explorerName
- Are you happy that friends and family may see your explorerName?
- Once chosen -- you will *not* be able to change that name
- It will identify all of your future Exploration
- Don't worry -- explorerName is the *only* identifying data that we store.
- ====
step one: run pwMapApp :-)
step two: Register your unique explorerName
step three: Explore a pwMap
====
There is a pwMap called "Start Here with StreetView"
... you can search for "start" on the Select a Map screen
... Explore it!
... This pwMap allows you to get familiar with pwMapApp
There are two buttons for the Explorer:
- [i] opens Google Maps at the correct location.
... the pwMap is a StreetView - [Explore this Map] -- and you are ready to explore!
====
- Select a Treasure
- Use StreetView to find the answer to the question
- Find as many pwTreasures as you want
Select Finish from the *end* of the Treasure list.
... And that's it -- you are now a pwExplorer :-)
====
But wait -- there's more!
Are you able to visit Churchlands in Western Australia?
Follow Maps to Thornbill Way
Go to one of the Treasures
... Use your phone GPS to claim the pwTreasure.
It's quick and easy -- and definite. If you are really there :-)
